Mrs J’s Kitchen’s Terms & Conditions:

Definition:

‘The Client’ refers to the customer booking any catering services with Mrs J’s Kitchen

‘We, ours, us, etc.’ means Mrs J’s Kitchen

‘You, yours, etc.’ means The Client

Prices

All prices quoted are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change

and are only valid for the month the quotation was received. Custom menus designed for a one-off function are a tailored price and also subject to change. They are not fixed term prices due to the availability of products.

 Travel Fee

Mrs J Kitchen offers a delivery service up to 30 km from Diggers Rest, in Melbourne Victoria. This is provided with a flat rate fee of $25.00. All on-site catering services (conferences/retreats) that require repeated travel, will incur the $25.00 travellers fee for each day. Overnight stays will incur an additional fee.

 Deposits and Payments

Payment is required prior to, or on delivery, unless authorised in advance. Our bank account details are located on each invoice for payment by direct transfer.

 All quotes are subject to availability at the time of booking and a 50% deposit is required to secure the event date. No event is considered confirmed until deposit has been received. The balance will be invoiced upon confirmation of numbers 10 working days prior to the function. Full payment of the function is required prior to the event date, unless other arrangements have been made previously. Any additional charges will be invoiced after the event.

Changes/Cancellations

Cancellations made 15 days or more prior to function date will result in full refund of the deposit.

 For cancellations within 10 days of function date, 50% of the deposit will be retained.

All cancellations or changes must be received in writing (e-mail).

Health and Safety

Health and Safety Regulations state that food may only be kept out for a maximum of two hours.

From the point of delivery, Mrs J’s Kitchen will not accept responsibility or liability for safe food storage practices. It is the sole responsibility of the client to ensure the food provided by Mrs J’s Kitchen is served, stored and disposed of in a safe and appropriate manner.

‘Cooking on Location’ Kitchens

When needing to cook onsite, we require an adequate Commercially Certified Kitchen and food preparation area with running water and power. This will be organised by the client and inspected by a Mrs J Kitchen staff member prior to the function date.

 Dietary Requirements

Mrs J’s Kitchen prepares all food in accordance with the Food Standards set by Food Standards Australia and are HACCP Accredited.

 Mrs J’s Kitchen and equipment used within it, may contain traces of peanuts, tree nuts (e.g. almonds, cashews), eggs, milk, fish, crustaceans (e.g. prawns, lobster), sesame, soy, wheat, lupin and other known allergens. Although all care is taken by Mrs J’s Kitchen to ensure these items are not contained, we cannot guarantee that all dietary requirements will be met. Whilst we understand the serious implications of reactions to allergens and will endeavour not to cross contaminate your food, Mrs J’s Kitchen will not accept responsibility or liability for an adverse reaction to any of our food by a guest. Please inform any of your guests who have serious food allergies that if they are concerned, they will be able to bring their own allergen free food in some circumstances.
